For instance, word on the street is that Bill Clinton's going to speak at the convention for Sen. Clinton. While I'm sure we're all reasonable and unified Democrats, I just have visions of outright pandemonium.
I'll be running as a candidate for the national convention and feel a little more than dwarfed by all the early campaigning by some of the more affluent members of the state party. All I have is an inspirational story about being a poor kid from an Indian reservation who was taught the value of the vote at the age of six. We'll have to see how it'll work out.
Chances are, any updates on our convention will be late in the evening, but I'll be happy to post here for anyone interested. By the way, any other Obama state delegates from Nevada in this community? If so, I'll see you tomorrow!

I FINALLY CAN PLAY BONK'S ADVENTURE AGAIN!!!!1
Bonk's Adventure was just some old ass game on the Turbo Grafx 16, which we managed to acquire and I had no idea how rare it was until I threw it out, but it was like the best game ever and I used to spend like hours dying on it because I sucked really badly at the game. Actually, I still do, but I managed to get to a part that I didn't get to when I was younger. But yeah, this game was one of the very first ones I played, so being able to play it again...
... So anyway, what's up gaiz? 8|
It's designed for 14-count Aida cloth with dimensions of 5x5 inches. I'm using 314 for the red and 824 for the blue... follow your own best judgement. :)
The pattern is here.

I mean, I know I'm into the groove of this now, but I feel like every single time I might actually really have to think something through, miss magic assistant there says, "By the way, this is the answer."
I'm kind of starting to miss how generally obtuse Maya always was. It's good not to get stuck but I'm most of the way through the 3rd case and I'm really feeling spoon-fed. After the mental gymnastics that I had to go through to finish Trials & Tribulations, that's disappointing.
That said, the last case of every previous game has always been the hardest. I still have it to look forward to, anyway. And since I do most of my playing on the Metro commute to work and back, it's probably for the best that I'm not swearing at my DS much. ;)

WASHINGTON - The political fortunes of Democrats down South once were so bad that people openly joked even Jesus Christ would lose by a double-digit margin if he ran for office on the party's ticket.
It might be time to put that joke to rest.
In special elections recently, Democrats snatched away two congressional seats that Republicans had held for decades in Mississippi and Louisiana, the heart of the Bible Belt. Come November, more GOP losses could play out in Alabama, Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Louisiana and Florida.
No one is ready to paint the South blue. But for the first time in years, Democrats are making noise in a region previously seen as lost to Republicans for good.
( Democrats in the South? I don't understand. Is it possible? I guess so, because Jesus always wins down south. )
Just finished my last full week of high school. Tuesday is my last official day, but I'm still going to school every day next week. Wednesday is Senior movie and picnic. We're going to see Iron Man. I'm pretty excited about that. Thursday is my English final exam. I'll do fine, not excelling, but passing. Friday is a choir rehearsal, 'cause the concert was pushed back to the 27th, so seniors have to still come in for a few extra days. Not a problem, really. The week after that, I'll go to school on Tuesday, for our last choir rehearsal and the concert is that night. The will be the last thing to have anything to do with school, except graduation. I got my yearbook, today. It looks nice, and as far as I can tell no one was left out. Yes, last year four seniors were left out of the yearbook. They made an insert, that people could stick into their books.
Tomorrow, at going to PVCC, I'm gonna go shopping for presents for my teachers, Ms. Wood, Profe, Mrs. Morris, and Ms. Hunt. If my funds allow, I might get gifts for my other teachers, its just the four I mentioned have helped me a lot through all of high school, especially Profe (Profesora Collado, Profe for short). She is probably the most amazing person I have ever met. I'm also gotta get something for Debbie, Lauren, and Anna. My birthday present for Lauren is extremely late, so it must be extremely awesome.
I'm uploading a few picture from Spanish and the Literary Magazine party. This is mostly for Jolee and Anna, but I can't upload the pictures of Erik knighting Maisy and Jordan, because I was behind the girls when I took the picture, and I didn't notice it at first, but it kinda looks like they girls are performing a certain "service" for Erik. Yeah, so those pictures will never be seen again. Erik almost hit Sally with the toy sword, so I asked Lauren to hit him 'cause I hurt him enough as it is. It was completely her idea to use the chair.
Next week will mostly be taking pictures and signing yearbooks. Much fun will be had by all. Erik gave me Grand Theft Auto 3 and Beyond Good and Evil. So, I'll have something to do tonight.
( Damned/RP Rambling that can be ignored. )
Homg and of course I get a Roxas post right after I'm done lskdfjsdjjjjjjjjj. &hearts
Apparently there's going to be a party tomorrow, which gives me the perfect opportunity to step away from the computer and get farther in WEWY like I wanted to all week long. D8 I hope it doesn't rain though since we'll be outside for the most part.
I should probably start downloading Supernatural at some point this weekend. Yeah. 8|

WASHINGTON (AP) -- John McCain's campaign is asking staff members to disclose all previous lobbying ties following the resignation of two officials linked to a firm that worked for Myanmar's military junta.
A memo from McCain's campaign manager, Rick Davis, also instructs staff to make certain they are no longer registered as lobbyists or foreign agents.
It was issued following the resignations of Doug Goodyear, who was to run the Republican National Convention, and Doug Davenport, a regional campaign director for the mid-Atlantic states. Both worked for DCI Group, a consulting firm hired to improve the image of Myanmar's military junta.
( Lobbyists and politicians??? Who would ever have thought... )

President Bush failed to win the help he sought from Saudi Arabia to relieve skyrocketing American gas prices Friday, a setback for the former Texas oilman who took office predicting he would jawbone oil-producing nations to help the U.S.
Bush got a red-carpet welcome to this desert kingdom, home to the world's largest oil reserves, and promised to ask King Abdullah to increase production to reduce pressure on prices, which soared past $127 for the first time Friday. But Saudi officials said they already were meeting the needs of their customers worldwide and there was no need to pump more.
>Electoral College Prediction Map - Predict the winner of the general election. Use the map to experiment with winning combinations of states. Save your prediction and send it to friends.
Obama: (61.7%) Pickups from '04: Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Missouri, Iowa, Ohio, Florida
McCain: (38.3%) Pickups from '04: New Hampshire
Ok, this was hard and this map is probably the most optimistic...but I had to consider some things:
1. Obama is black (yeah sad I know I have to consider that, but this is America after all).
2. Will MOST Clinton primary voters go for Obama in the general. I think so.
3. Can he win Florida and Ohio...well considering how close Florida was in 2000 (and I'll avoid the "Bush stole Florida" thing and just say officially Bush won Florida) and the strong Democratic presence in Ohio...and McCain's cold reception (lol to say the least) there after saying free trade is good for Ohio...i'm gonna hedge my bets and say yeah, Obama can take those two states. All he needs is one more vote than everyone else on the ballot.
4. Can Obama make enroads in the Republican West and hold the Pacific Northwest? McCain's Bush Conservatism just ain't gonna fly in populated Western WA and OR where the votes are...and he seems to be making enroads into Colorado and New Mexico...i think high Latino turnout will help him.
I was conservative with the southern states...but high black turnout could change things up in places like Virginia and North Carolina (maybe South Carolina?). We'll see! But I think based on the Republican defeats in special elections in conservative strongholds recently...and McCain's strategy of trying to imitate Bush (but not imitate him at the same time...but yet look like the maverick of 8yrs ago...ok my head is spinning) and the steady message of Obama...i think he'll do well this November.
McCain's latest bit in front of the NRA:
Earlier today, Sen. Obama made a few remarks I would like to respond to. I welcome a debate about protecting America. No issue is more important. Sen. Obama claimed all I had to offer was the ‘naive and irresponsible belief’ that tough talk would cause Iran to give up its nuclear program. He should know better. I have some news for Sen. Obama: Talking, not even with soaring rhetoric, in unconditional meetings with the man who calls Israel a ‘stinking corpse’ and arms terrorists who kill Americans will not convince Iran to give up its nuclear program. It is reckless to suggest that unconditional meetings will advance our interests.
It would be a wonderful thing if we lived in a world where we don't have enemies. But that is not the world we live in, and until Sen. Obama understands that reality, the American people have every reason to doubt whether he has the strength, judgment and determination to keep us safe.
------
Nothing really new, talking bad, false positions of opponents, whatever. Not to let it sit, the Obama campaign hit back, and hit back HARD.
"What's reckless is continuing the Bush-McCain foreign policy that has cost us thousands of lives and a trillion dollars in Iraq, strengthened Iran, enabled Hamas to take Gaza, took our eye off al Qaeda, failed to capture Osama bin Laden, failed to finish the job in Afghanistan, and left us less safe and less respected in the world. No amount of utterly predictable fear-mongering and tough talk can change the fact that John McCain is running to continue the most disastrous foreign policy in recent American history," said Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton.

That my friends is what being the Sword of American Justice is like. Hope tempered with Anger. I'm feeling really good about how this election is going to go.
