New LJ layout~ It's absurdly bright but I love it.

So, okay, I has dilemma. Mom is gonna spring two tickets for me to the concert of my choice as a birthday gift, except I can't chose which to go to. Death cab for Cutie, Rilo Kiley, and M.I.A are all gonna be in NY and they are all playing within a week of each other. D: Which to go to?

Also, is anyone on my flist around the NY area going to see Regina Spektor perform? It's free, but "first come first serve" and that doesn't sound too good for someone like me who has a hard time getting out of bed in the morning.

blaaargh i need to get up on my schoolwork and stop being a lazy bum.

edit; i just realized the font color for the comments looks kinda retarded. ohwellz, i'll fix this later.

Regina Spektor did a live record store appearance performance thingie 2 or 3 years ago here in Portland. I had no idea who she was at the time though, and didn't hang for long. Heh.

@ rosie's dilemma: For me, personally, it'd be a toss-up between Death Cab for Cutie and Rilo Kiley... but in the end, I think that Rilo Kiley would win, just because one of the members (Blake Whatever-his-last-name-is-now) used to be on the TV show, "Boy Meets World." :p

Somewhat seriously though, a good tie-breaker would be the opening act. Who are the opening acts for each of the bands, and which one of those would you rather see?

Blake~! I love Blake, even though he's a little bitter that no one paid attention to his solo project (while Jenny shot in popularity).

I have no idea about the opening acts yet, usually ohmyrockness lists them but they haven't for these shows. I'm gonna try and look into it though. Right now I'm kinda leaning towards Death Cab since I wasn't a big fan of Under the Blacklight and I have a feeling that's gonna be Rilo Kiley's main setlist.

And thanks! ♥ Semester ends in about a month, but I always slack off near the end. XD *hits self*

Which one? xD Rilo Kiley and Death Cab are both in June. Regina is performing the...19th, I believe.
