I got back from seeing Beyonce live, and I gotta say, I love her ten times more. She's just a fantastic performer - dancing and singing for three hours straight and she never, ever lost her energy. She joked with the crowd and encouraged them, got 'em all pumped up...it was excellent. I had box seats, in the suite, and I was almost directly across the stage so I could see her pretty good, and also there was a monitor right there.
I didn't know she had an all female band. I think that says something about her, since I know a lot of women have this ego thing where they don't want pretty women around as competition, but she had all these beautiful talented women in her band from Japan and all over the world. Whenever she'd go change, a member would come out and do a solo. The bassist was my favorite - she did all these popular R&B songs, riffed with the bass behind her neck, and then did Pop Goes the Weasel. XD
I heard from my aunt before we went in that she broke up with Jay Z (zomg, end of an era) and I guess that's why she got all choked up during Flaws and All. She was actually crying and paused at the end before finishing to compose herself. Also, Beyonce. Is. Adorable. First, I'm sure everyone heard that she fell recently off the stairs when she performed "Ring the Alarm". Well, when the song came this time she ran down the stairs and did a cute "YAY I DID IT" fist pump. Also when she came out with a bee costume...cause it's her B'DAY. LOLZ.ilu beyonce She also sang happy birthday to some people in the front row.
Still though, the best part was when she sang Irreplaceable. Before it started, she said sometimes people get too comfortable and they take adavantage and forget how much your worth, when they can easily be replaced. That being said, she asked the audience to think of that person in their lives and sing to them. She stood there smiling as everyone sang the first verse and chorus, then jumped in singing her heart out. In the middle of it, she started twirling around in her long silver gown just smiling - it was really the best part, because it made me feel so positive. I thought about everything that happened and realized there's no need to be bitter or angry. I'm happy my friendship lasted for six years and we had some amazing times, but it's over now. I have not one, but two real friends that stuck by me through it all and I know will always be there and be honest with me. Let Andrea wallow in her bitterness - I feel sorry for her. She has no one left that honestly loves her, and no one is ever gonna show her love and friendship the way I did. My life is wonderful and I have so many people that love me, it's not worth being angry over two people who aren't worth it at all. :D
Also,
damned peeps. I know I wanted to meet with like, everyone under the sun when dayshift arrives, but I need to remember who I'm meeting and when. XD; Breakfast for Claire is packed right now, but I'd love to meet Kadaj if it's possible, and also Aidou, Xemnas and Renji should be bugged at some point. I'm up for it all!
